Jaimes Journey
Jaime grew up surrounded by the rich craftsmanship and artistry of Mexico, where every piece told a story and served a purpose. When he founded Rustic 101, he brought this heritage with him, aiming to create functional art that meets the unique needs of each customer. With 27 years of dedication, we are proud to have completed over 7,000 custom projects, bringing the Rustic 101 mission to homes across California and the United States.
Life on Hwy 101
Rustic 101 began its journey on the historic Highway 101 in 1997 in Solana Beach, CA, where it quickly became a beloved destination. As time passed, Jaime decided to move up the coast in 2014, to a quaint spot we affectionately named “Casa Amarilla,” a charming yellow beach bungalow filled with character, hinting at the whimsical display of our pieces inside. In 2022, we expanded our horizons by opening a new location in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe. Now, in 2024, continuing our tradition of life along the 101, we are thrilled to announce our newest gallery in Laguna Beach.
